I'm @BusinessInsider's new Singapore bureau chief, effective immediately.
The last 14 months here have been enormously fun, wrangling earnings, features, hiring, and so much more.
Now, I need your help! (1/2)
B/c @InsiderUnion is on strike, I did not finish *drafting* this story, including reaching out to my normal comms channel for comment.
I'm horrified this story went out and urge you not to read it.
three hours before your humans host 11 people is the perfect time to knock dessert over, covering yourself and the floor
(@darth we are gonna need a ruling here 😛)
Whistler was found on the streets of Houston with his sister. His human told the shelter he didn't want the dogs.
Two years later, he romps around Central Park most mornings, scaring the squirrels and making pals. Then he comes home to lay on me the rest of the day.
shoutout to the VC who booked a *gelato* meeting with me tomorrow afternoon, the only reason I'd leave the A/C.
My schedule is very open for ice cream meetings in NYC for the rest of the summer!
Fun news: I’m moving to Singapore next month!
I’m delighted to work with Business Insider’s team as deputy bureau chief under @LBatarags.
Please email me if you:
- Work in vc/startups in southeast asia
- Have travel recs
- Know the best noodle in Singapore
PR folks: when I politely email "please remove me from your mailing list," it's not an invitation to argue with me about how great your idea/company is.
This has happened twice in a week! Don't do this!
Thanks all for your outrage. This scoop's publication was a gnarly mistake, one I'm sure won't happen again.
If you want to channel your anger, please focus on supporting @InsiderUnion!
Almost every woman I know has a story like this. The 2x I landed in Manhattan ERs (Weill Cornell & NY Presby), medical staff said I was just drunk.
The first time, I’d been roofied. The second, I’d been violently mugged and I had months of pain from the concussion.
thinking of this story as my friends again figure out how to cope with 13 weeks’ severance in one of the worst environments for media in a long, long time.
