I still say my phone number twice whenever I leave voicemails as if people can't see the number because I belong to the early 90s.

"He had a knife." "He used a counterfeit $20 bill." "He was selling loose cigarettes." "He was playing with a toy gun in the park." "He walked home." "She was driving down to her new job." "She was asleep in her own house." "He complied and reached for his license, registration."

Kyrie is like most faux intellectuals. They don’t read, so their whole mantra is rooted in YouTube clips. They don’t explain the things they say because their attitude is based on the idea that they speak and others listen. They don’t want dialogue because they’re not good at it.

A reminder to everybody: You are not your job. Dwayne Haskins was somebody's son, partner, homie, teammate. And he was also a human being. At my buddy Ed's memorial, we only talked about how he had made us feel. My heart goes out to the folks with those memories of Haskins today.

What I’ve learned tonight is that some people do not believe there is a scenario where they can get slapped. And I just wouldn’t recommend living that way.

One of my favorite Rui Hachimura stories is that one time he was in practice at Gonzaga and Mark Few said he'd made a "dumbass" play. Hachimura, who didn't speak much English then, smiled wide because he thought Few was comparing him to Domantas Sabonis who was nicknamed "Domas."

Serena is 40 years old and she's battling a 26-year-old who is ranked No. 2 in the entire world. For those over 35, could you beat a 26-year-old in any athletic competition? If so, what? Also, stop lying.

If my 40 year old mom was beating 20 year olds at the highest levels of any sport, I would be at preschool talking reckless.

Just a quick story. Dikembe's mother died during wartime in the Congo when she couldn't get to a hospital in time because an ambulance was unavailable. Plus, she could have been arrested due to the climate. Dikembe's response to that tragedy? He built a hospital in his hometown.

No chance this is true. He mixed up the numbers and won’t admit it. Everybody else can get penalized for mistakes. Coaches, staffers, players, assistants, execs, everybody. Except refs. It’s not right. The only explanation is that he made a huge mistake that changed the playoffs.

This is the real NIL story. Guys knowing they don't have to turn pro to make money. Top earners in CBB making money comparable to late first round picks. Players getting more time to develop. This is a great thing for everyone: players, teams, coaches and the NBA. This matters.
Only 106 players entered the 2025 NBA Draft, per the NBA. That's the lowest number of early-entrants since 2015, down from a peak of 363 in 2021, just before the NCAA's NIL era officially started. Incredible boon for college basketball to retain so much talent.

That Karl Malone-John Stockton relationship makes more sense to me every day.
