    Congratulations to our very own Jimmy “ Smut” Means on his induction in to the Alabama Auto Racing Pioneers Hall Of Fame this year. This man has done so much with so little. He started his career @hsvspeedway. In 1976 he made his 1st start in the NASCAR Cup Series One of 455!

    Thank you all so much for all the prayers. Jimmy suffered a mild cardiac episode Friday night. He’s doing fine and is scheduled for a heart catheter tomorrow morning.

    Please keep everyone at JMR in your thoughts & prayers. As we’ve lost an amazing friend due to Covid. Brenda ( Powers ) was one of the first women to be in the NASCAR pit area. She helped me over 30 years in my career. Godspeed my friend 🙏🏻💔

    Competing in NASCAR at any level is hard. It takes money to make it. I can attest to how hard it is to keep a small underfunded team going. I’ve worked my entire career as an “underdog”, I’ve won some & lost some.

    I just wanted to let everyone know that Jimmy is doing fine. He had a procedure this afternoon & the Dr. placed 3 stents today. He will require another procedure on Thursday to place 2 more stents.. A big thank you to all of you that have prayed, called or texted..
