- Wow. Good for you man! Say it louder for the people in the back. The added value in a single pitch’s effectiveness is often worth the difference in release point. But errrrrbody is afraid of this. Kudos to you for putting this out there. Good work.Pitchers: You don't need to throw each pitch in your arsenal from the same release point to succeed! 2022 MLB data shows no relationship between release point "tunneling" and pitch effectiveness. Instead, chase better pitch shapes and tunnel using release angles (VRA & HRA)
