- Spanish is my first language and I’m pronouncing it how it’s supposed to be pronounced in Spanish. I’m not trying to teach you Spanish 🤣 and what do you mean by Hispanic sounding names? They are Hispanic names.
00:00- I’m so sad by the amount of ugly and hateful comments I’ve received during this #prideHouston weekend. Why be so mean? So ugly? So ruthless? I have close friends and family who are part of the #LGBTQ community and I won’t stop supporting them.

- No, Eileen, bc I’m not a white folk 🤣 I’m Mexican and if it’s a Spanish name I will pronounce it bc it’s my first language. - We never auditioned together (which normally happens with an anchor team) but when I was hired, we instantly connected. Two minorities who wanted nothing more but to succeed. We started off on weekends. Moved up to launch the city’s 1st 3pm newscast to eventually M-F 4&6:30pm!
- If I'm getting grief for pronouncing Spanish words in Spanish. Imagine what Elma Barrera went through back then. She signed off on air rolling her R's...Love how proud she was!
