Thank you, Chicago for the opportunity to serve as Mayor these past 8 years. I am grateful for all we accomplished together, humbled by the faith you put in me, and in awe of the Chicagoans I have been lucky enough to meet and work with at every step on this journey.

I’m disappointed in the Mayor. There was an agreement in place. I am calling on the Mayor to take swift and decisive action to put an end to this kind of chaos. I will work with him in good faith and urge him to do his job so that the people of Chicago feel safe.

Today we're announcing the selection of The @boringcompany to build & operate express service to transport people to O'Hare Airport from downtown in 12 minutes on electric vehicles in underground tunnels. The project will be funded by the company with no taxpayer subsidy.
