I'd like to thank @realDonaldTrump for declaring a state of emergency for Florida. This authorizes FEMA to coordinate any disaster relief efforts necessary to alleviate hardships caused by #HurricaneIsaias in Miami-Dade & the rest of the State. @WhiteHouse bddy.me/3fejXxK

I will be lifting the countywide curfew this afternoon. Beaches in Miami-Dade County are set to open on Wednesday.

I’ve seen a lot of buzz on social media from people who think beaches in Miami-Dade County are opening up. This is not the case. Although we’re consulting with medical experts on the future opening of public spaces, there is currently no timeline for opening beaches.

This Hispanic Heritage Month I want to recognize the Bay of Pigs veterans who risked their lives for the cause of freedom in Cuba. I'm glad they were honored by the @WhiteHouse. Here in #OurCounty we know, all too well, the sacrifices they've made in the name of freedom.

Fue un honor darle la llave del Condado Miami-Dade al Presidente Juan Guaidó durante la culminacion de su tour en Miami. Estoy orgulloso de su batalla contra el comunismo y la opresión. #AgendaInternacional2020 @Univision23 @Telemundo51 @Americateve @elnuevoherald @DLasAmericas

We’re not canceling any major events in Miami-Dade County, such as Ultra, following the guidance from Florida’s Surgeon General on #Coronavirus.

I've now ordered the closure of boat ramps and marinas, as we continue to take additional measures to fight the spread of #COVID19. bit.ly/3bim6qE

I’m taking additional measures to control the spread of COVID-19, imposing a nightly curfew from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. until further notice for all of Miami-Dade County. We're also rolling back the opening of entertainment venues effective July 3rd. (1/2) bddy.me/38mgyuU

I had a very productive virtual meeting just now with our medical experts and the County’s Wellness Group. We arrived at a compromise to keep gyms & fitness studios open. All doing activities inside must wear a mask or do strenuous training outside staying 10 feet apart w/outmask

Here is today New Normal Dashboard, where we're still seeing hospitalizations numbers that are troubling for Miami-Dade. If we all take personal responsibility we can tamp down numbers again. Masks might feel inconvenient but they help stop the spread. bddy.me/2OuRrNg
