    Jaren Jackson Jr. was asked about Dikembe Mutombo's death today. At first, he gave a short answer saying he knew him his whole life. Then, after he was asked a completely different question, he explained Mutumbo was his dad's college roommate, and the impact Dikembe had on him.

    Paul Pierce, Tony Allen's teammate in Boston, was the only player on stage tonight who never played for the Grizzlies. His flight from LA to Memphiswas delayed, he thought it was gonna get cancelled. "I had another flight planned, I would've took a private jet just to be here."

    Ja Morant gave Jeremiah Fears a "Welcome to the NBA" moment right at the end of his debut. But he also took time to talk with him as soon as the game was over. "I just told him to continue to be aggressive...I know he has a lot of talent, I watched his highlights."

    Ja is asked what he thought of the OKC series. He didn’t like the 2 road games. Then laughs and says.. “I’m scared to answer this because stuff I say goes viral.” Then lets it fly: “I had them figured out.” Says if he didn’t get hurt, it would be 2-2 going to OKC right now.

    I asked GG Jackson today how he'd sum up the experiences of a disappointing second season. He gave one of the best answers I've ever gotten. Raw, genuine stuff from him on mental health, expectations, and the belief he can still bring something for the Grizzlies. ⬇️

    Multiple Grizzlies players have said Tuomas Iisalo is one of the most direct and frank coaches they’ve ever had. Me thinks there was a disagreement during the game, Ja got mad, and then Iisalo called him out in front of the team afterwards. Hence, Ja’s comments.
