    Hey gang...continuing the series of cover recreations I've done for a private collector--all the DETECTIVE COMICS covers that feature Batman solo, before the first appearance of Robin. Here's my take on DC #31...but it's kinda hard to improve on the iconic power of the original.

    The success of Neil Gaiman's fantastic series, The Sandman led to one of the most sideways spin-offs of all time. SANDMAN MYSTERY THEATRE took a single line about Wesley Dodds' motivations and wove a whole-new take on classic pulp/noir motifs.

    Loving THE SANDMAN series on @netflix-a faithful and beautiful adaptation. Here's the first DC character with that name, which eventually led to @neilhimself's incredible reinvention of the concept, which eventually inspired our reinterpretation of the original in SMT. Whew!
