Just remember when this election is over that the NY Post published a story about a minor accident with no injuries involving licensed drivers hundreds and hundreds of miles from NY just to stir up animosity against a scapegoat group.

- Democratic NJ gubernatorial candidates at the debate have twice mentioned firefighters and/cops getting hit hard by congestion pricing. But NYPD and NYFD don't live in NJ. There's a NY residency requirement.
- So if you have “ny/nj” in your Twitter bio you’re in NJ, right?
- Trump commuted Menendez co-defendant Salomon Melgen's 17-year prison sentence for Medicare fraud. When a prank caller impersonating Menendez reached Trump, Trump told him "we're proud of you" and congratulated him on beating his previous indictment. politico.com/story/2018/06/…
- Sen. Bob Menendez is on trial. Democrats lost the county line. And now George Norcross and crew are indicted. The most momentous year for NJ politics since I started covering it in 2007.
- NJ Gov. Murphy, Assembly Speaker Coughlin and Dem State Chair LeRoy Jones call on Menendez to resign
- Weird. So many NJ politicians protested commuters getting squeezed by NYC congestion pricing but I haven't seen any raising concerns about the major PATH fare hike.
