Read because you want to. Read whatever floats your boat. Read as quickly or as slowly as you do. Read books only with orange covers if you want to. Read 1 book or 500 books a year. There are no rules. Just read.

A few weeks ago I popped this outside my front door and since then have intermittently refilled it with books. Earlier today there was a knock at the door and on opening there stood a socially distanced woman. She asked if it was me that had put the books out. When I said it

I really really miss my Dad. It’s 18 months today that he died. I still can’t grasp the fact he’s not here. Grief is shit. Some days it’s manageable and others it’s a heavy weight but it’s always there. And yes I know that time eases blah blah but today it hurts.

For @colettemcbeth and anyone else who needs to TRIM their fringe whilst in lockdown. Let me reiterate that less is more; you can’t stick it back on. Use sharp pointy scissors, nail scissors probably better than kitchen ones! Do not cut your fingers!!!
