- It’s been a bizarre reaction to City’s £1bn Puma deal. United signed a £750m deal with Adidas in 2014 - 11 years ago, Real Madrid signed a £850m deal with Nike in 2017 - 8 years ago. An extra £150m over 10 years almost 10 years after that isn’t a lot.
