- I’ve covered college sports for a long time. I’ve got to be honest here…today’s announcement by the CFP Committee has shaken my confidence in the overall process of college football. Congrats to the teams that qualified…all quality teams. But the dagger to FSU is unprecedented.
- America’s biggest sporting event, the Super Bowl, will kickoff at 6:30pm ET...it would be nice if the CFB Playoff and NCAA Basketball title games took notice.
- I’ve been living and breathing ACC basketball my whole life. What NC State just accomplished over the past 5 days is one of the most incredible feats in ACC basketball history. Truly remarkable. Congrats to Wolfpack Nation. Celebrate.
- Breaking News. My agent alerted ESPN this morning that I have decided to retire. Given the difficult challenges of past 3 years on both a personal and professional level, the timing is right. I can't wait to travel, write, teach & live again! Thank you for all the support.
- The Packer Family has lost a true Saint. Barb was an incredible mother, wife, friend and loving soul. Rest In Peace. Thank you to all of those who sent prayers and messages. 🙏🏻
- I would personally like to thank each and everyone of you that have sent a message concerning the passing of father, Billy. The outpouring of support has been comforting to the entire family during this difficult time. From the entire Packer Family....Thank you very much.
- I think Lincoln Riley is a brilliant offensive coach. His concepts are great and he has terrific talent. But it is hard to comprehend that as a HC he has had Baker Mayfield, Kyler Murray, Jalen Hurts and now Caleb Williams as his starting QBs, and has NEVER won a single CFP game.
- It didn’t take long for CBS to start the “How can Bama make the CFP” spin. Give it a rest, CBS....the story is LSU, not Bama.
- Carolina Panthers owner, David Tepper, promised the fanbase that he would not put up with "constant mediocrity". Through 4 years of ownership and a 22-41 overall record, you have to give him credit...the owner and franchise have yet to achieve mediocrity.
- On this Sunday, if you could say a prayer for my mom, Barb, I would really appreciate it. 🙏

- I see on the ESPN ticker that Duke, if invited, is now available to play in March Madness. That reminds me, that if the folks at Augusta National invite me, I’m available to play anytime.
- Bizarre stat: The University of South Carolina football program has suffered more ACC losses (3) in their last 4 games played than Clemson football has experienced in their last 4+ years (2).
