- The televised gathering in the White House of President Trump and his cabinet members bending over backwards to fawn all over him is truly something to behold.
- I think G&M editorials are often incisive but this one is just plain silly

- To sum it up: President Trump is convinced his tariff strategy will work although he concedes there will be pain and it will take time. The crucial question is HOW LONG Americans will give him to lower their costs and create the jobs he promised, before their patience runs out.
- Just finished reading « Is Earth Exceptional? » which asks the obvious questions: how did life come to be on Earth and are we alone in this vast universe. I learned a lot
- What I find more difficult to fathom than President Trump’s ignorance of the consequences of his tariff policy (domestically & globally) is the fact that a majority of Americans elected him. He is clearly not a student of history, nor are, it would seem, a majority of Americans.
