I write a diary on every war night in Gaza. I share human details about my life like other Gazans living under war.
Here is the latest:

- After I shared my latest tweet. A huge bombing hit very close to our home without warning. I woke up to the shattered glass smashing on my head. I immediately covered my 2-month baby with my body, picked him up and ran away. STOP the War. We’re dying. #Gaza
- Al-Jazeera correspondent Walid Al-Omari: Sherin Abu Aqleh was deliberately killed by an Israeli sniper, after shooting her in the head with live bullet, and there were no confrontations with gunmen in the place, as the Israeli media claims.
- Until this moment, I still can’t intake the brutality of this moment. Blowing up the Palestine square neighbourhood where my home WAS. Our building was levelled down to the ground after this explosion, erasing an entire area. So much pain on our little memories left behind.
- Breaking: The first estimates of people killed in targeting Al Ahli hospital in #Gaza are between 200 to 300 according to the Ministry of Health in Gaza.
- Provokingly, Israeli artillery started shelling at 12:00 am sharp. They terribly made sure we enter the new year on the sounds of shelling.
- Breaking: The Israeli army orders citizens to evacuate the eastern neighborhoods of Rafah in preparation for a military ground operation there.
- My heart aches for Dania, the wife of journalist Ayman Al-Jadi, one of the five journalists killed in Gaza last night. Ayman was waiting at the hospital as his wife went into labor with their first child. He never had a moment of joy—married during the war without celebration,
- Woke up after a sleepless night. A family of 15 members was wiped out. The massive bombing sounds didn’t stop until the moment. This morning, new evacuation orders to areas of Al Maghazi, east of Al Zawaideh were just issued. The situation is beyond crazy on the ground.
- In the midst of this heavy war, my mother, passed away. She had left Gaza with difficulty 4 months ago for treatment in Egypt. We may survive war, but we do not survive loss, where there is no room even for a farewell look. Rest in peace Mum. .إلى رحمة الله يا أمي
- Palestinian correspondent Hana Hammad continues covering live news after Israeli soldiers fired gas bomb on her face
- It’s a huge struggle to get any connection to internet. We’re living a total blackout. People go to places to charge their mobiles and get a short access to Internet. We only hear the sounds of bombing around without being able to identify where they hit.
- Just got back from outside. It's late but thousands of people are sleeping on the ground, animal-drawn carts and cars carrying bedding and belongings are roaming the city. Thick dust, sweat and exhaustion cover everyone's faces. My heart is heavy... Where can people go, O Allah?
