We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of beloved journalist Donna Britt. Her passion for our students & the School was second to none. In 2020, Britt was honored as a Manship Hall of Fame inductee, and she served on the @LSU Student Media Board for several years.

We are heartbroken to share that Professor of Journalism Jerry Ceppos, dean of the Manship School from 2011 to 2018, has passed away. A relentless supporter of democracy, ethics and diversity, Jerry was a titan in the field of journalism during his 40+ years in the newsroom.
Our hearts are heavy and we are deeply saddened by this terrible news about sports journalist Carley McCord. Our thoughts are with Carley’s family, friends & colleagues.
