While evacuations have been lifted, AMI is still closed. According to Holmes Beach Police, no one will be allowed on the island until the first in teams can clear the roads and determine that it is safe to return. Once cleared, residents with reentry tags will be allowed access.

If you are sheltering at your home, be sure to close garage doors, doors and windows, including interior doors. This will reduce air pressure that can build up on the roof and walls and help increase the chance of roof staying intact (IBHS Research Center).
