- I would like to clarify that us at @6NewsAU are not sexist and the fact I am the only woman on the payroll is just a "coincidence" 🙄
- Today, the AEC has released new boundary propositions for Victoria and WA. In this thread, I'll be diving into the big changes in Inner Melbourne and how this affects some of our incumbent MPs and, more importantly, the next election! 1/10 🧵

- Replying to @KosSamarasI feel like this is quite misleading and lacking context. In the Brisbane city council elections, the Greens saw a huge swing of 6.1% towards them at the ward level - Translating to a primary vote swing in favour of them in 24 out of 26 wards.

- Please don't listen to disinformation like this. The Greens are certainly not preferencing the Liberals in any seats, and if they are I'll *quit* 6 News, I'm that confident.#auspol Apparently the Greens are preferencing The Liberal/ National Party in the Queensland election. I think it important that all Labor voters who usually give 2nd preferences to the Greens that a vote for the Greens is a vote for Liberal/National Party.Readers added contextThere is NO EVIDENCE that the Greens are recommending preferences to the LNP in the 2024 Queensland state election If a Labor voter preferences the Greens, their vote does NOT go to the LNP as parties cannot control the preference flow Greens have preferenced LNP last before greens.org.au/qld/preferences
- With the Queensland election coming up, I figured this would be a good time to post a thread about the election campaign! Over the next few days, I'll write threads on some of the key seats to look out for. 1/24 🧵
- Forget this "Coalition breaking up" news, the real news is that an official site on the distribution of preferences in Calwell will be created today, with live updates. With such a messy result, a distribution will be needed to figure out who's 1st (and 2nd, and 3rd, and 4th...)
