My mom, worried about the many free and reduced priced lunch kids in West Virginia, just suggested that school bus drivers keep their routes but deliver meals Mon-Fri. And it’s... kinda brilliant? “Twitter that, maybe someone will listen!” she says.

One thing about student loan forgiveness that people who have not experienced poverty don’t grasp is that even if you get all the scholarships, you need loans to *live.* I had a full academic ride but only paid off my loans last year, because I used them to pay rent for 4 years.

Before quarantine, I imagined working from home would mean elaborate healthy workday breakfasts since I have access to my kitchen, however, I regret to inform you that I just put pb and syrup on an eggo and did not even take the time to use a fork but ate it like a cookie

New: California’s first ever superintendent of equity, a six figure taxpayer-funded job dedicated to kids of color, lives on the east coast, where he holds another job. (He was also in Thurmond’s wedding.) His hire appears to violate state worker policy.
