    It’s a good idea to provide Ukraine 🇺🇦 with #MiG-29 fighters - they will limit Russia 🇷🇺 bombing innocent civilians. The decision should not be made in #Warsaw alone - the responsibility lies with #NATO as a whole. What would it take to get Ukraine those #MIGs? Short 🧵 (1/8)

    Polish FM @sikorskiradek presented today at the Parliament the most comprehensive to date outline of the new 🇵🇱 foreign policy. The main theme was secure Poland in strong European Union that will do 100% to support Ukraine together with our Allies. More obsessions in 🧵

    Russian bombing of the #Yavoriv base in Ukraine mere 20km from Polish border was meant as a signal to NATO - “Keep Out!” - we should do no such thing! Instead NATO needs to 1) arm Ukraine 2) provide missile defenses to 🇵🇱🇷🇴 3) Strongly increase NATO presence on Eastern flank 🧵

    Supplying Ukraine with #Mig29 will likely be seen by Russia as a significant step up in military help for Ukraine. Russia threatened unspecified retaliation. No one NATO country should be put under pressure to do it alone. It shouldn't be matter for only bilateral 🇵🇱🇺🇸 conv.

    Useful and terrible map of 🇷🇺 attacks in Ukraine - this is NOT a limited attack. Targets hit also on the left bank of Dnieper and in western Ukraine - what’s playing out is a scenario of a very large attack.
