During HEAT patrols last night on I-94 in Mpls: Troopers stopped 37 vehicles for speeding, made 7 DWI arrests, responded to 2 crashes, arrested 1 on an outstanding warrant. MSP Flight located a stolen vehicle that fled - suspect apprehended after ditching vehicle in east metro.

HEAT patrols last night on I-94 in Mpls: Troopers stopped 58 vehicles for speeding, made two DWI arrests and arrested one person on an outstanding warrant. Eight were cited for driving without a valid license. Six drivers were stopped for using their cell phone behind the wheel.

A protest that involved vehicles going about 10 mph that blocked all westbound lanes on I-94 has ended. The group entered I-94 at Marion in St. Paul around 5:15 p.m. and exited at Cedar in Minneapolis. The drivers face charges including impeding traffic.

HEAT patrols will focus on another stretch of I-94 for the next several nights. Motorists will see a significant State Patrol presence between Mpls. and St. Paul. Troopers will continue to focus on excessive speed enforcement and criminal activity.

Troopers arrested 8 individuals & issued 2 citations following an incident this evening in & around the Lowry Hill Tunnel in Minneapolis. We received reports around 4:30 p.m. that groups were gathering on the pedestrian bridge near the tunnel and affixing signs to state property.

Street Racing Patrols: Several traffic stops were initiated by law enforcement this weekend. One driver stopped for speeds of 110 in a 55. A total of seven were arrested for DWI, reckless driving or outstanding warrants.

Street Racing Patrols: Several traffic stops were initiated by law enforcement this weekend. Male arrested for carrying firearm without permit. Two drivers cited for revoked license and no insurance. Both vehicles were impounded.

HEAT patrols on I-94 in St. Paul yesterday afternoon and I-94 between I-694 and I-394 last night: Troopers stopped 173 vehicles for speeding and made three DWI arrests. One impaired driver was going 100+ mph.
