The Maryland Public Secondary Schools Athletic Association (MPSSAA) oversees interscholastic high school athletics for 24 public school systems in the state.
- The MPSSAA Board of Control approves 2021 spring state tournaments. Playoffs commence in June. More info to come on
- The MPSSAA in consultation with the State Superintendent of Schools, the MD Department of Health, and the Public School Superintendent Association of Maryland has postponed the 2020 high school fall and winter competition season during the first semester. bit.ly/2DyG7ha
- The Maryland State Board of Education approved a request for local school systems (LSS) to start winter sports on December 7, 2020. All LSSs are strongly encouraged to start conditioning opportunities immediately. Initial information can be found at bit.ly/2TtbYUY

- The Northern Patriots defeat the Linganore Lancers, 28-23, to claim the 2021 class 3A state football championship.
- In consultation with our State BOE & State Superintendent Dr. Karen Salmon, we officially announce the cancellation of all MPSSAA events for the 2019-20 school year. This includes the B&G State Basketball Tourney & all Spring sports & Spring Championships. bit.ly/2y72ebZ
- Congratulations to Bonnie Paige! Previously on the first all-female chain gang at a state championship, she is now the first female field official as a line judge!
- Here they all are! The pioneer participants in our first ever Girls State Wrestling Tournament. Kudos to our State Wrestling Committee for this very proud moment.
- And boy did those Eagles soar! North Point flew away with the 4A/3A trophy by defeating Arundel 31 - 14.
