    We are aware of video footage that is circulating on social media this evening following the stopping of a car in Hackney. Our colleagues want to be able to share their Body Worn Video of the incident and as a Federation we are calling for this to happen.

    Being a firearms officer in London is one of the world's toughest jobs. Officers - volunteers - know the responsibility/accountability that comes with it and deserve our support. Ill-informed commentary from those in positions of power following any tragic incident is unwarranted

    Once again Notting Hill Carnival marred by serious violence - and attacks on Police Officers. 75 of our colleagues assaulted. Six bitten. One sexually assaulted. One in hospital. This is absolutely disgusting. No wonder our members dread policing this event. #ProtectTheProtectors

    Update: 74 Metropolitan Police officers were injured across the two days of the Notting Hill Carnival. These are people's sons and daughters. These are children's mothers and fathers. This happens every year. It's an utter disgrace. We wish all brave colleagues a swift recovery
