Forbes Field in Pittsburgh was a little soggy before Game 7 of the 1925 World Series between the #Pirates and Senators so, with a capacity crowd on hand, they doused the infield with gasoline and set that shit on fire.

- Home plate marker for Griffith Stadium, home of the Washington Senators from 1911 to 1960, (Senators II, 1961) lies in a hallway inside Howard University Hospital. Mickey Mantle hit (arguably) the longest home run in baseball history from this spot on April 17, 1953.
