Umpire Joe West before taking the field today wearing white wrist band to protest escalating verbal attacks on MLB umpires!
- Congratulations, Joe West! After umpiring tonight's game in Minneapolis, he will tie Bruce Froemming on the Most Games Umpired List with 5,163 games. On Wednesday, August 15, 2018, Joe will move up again to second on the All-Time Games Umpired List with 5,164 games.
- The Correct Call; The runner is only allowed to EXIT the lane to touch 1st base. Turner was NOT IN THE LANE when he stepped towards first BASE and interfered with Guriel so he was NOT afforded the protection the lane provides. #MLBUA #2019WorldSeries
