- Someone lodged a simple OIA request with the Reserve Bank asking for this information. The Bank's reply first gives 2 pages of defensive burble, but it isn't obvious ANY of these roles are actually needed. Fiscal restraint needs to come to the RB. rbnz.govt.nz/-/media/projec…
- Family ties aside, why would any young able person stay in NZ?
- Can't cope with long meetings and finds lots of people/events draining.....perhaps running for mayor wasn't a great idea then.
- Listening to her on RNZ, I’m wondering why a biochemistry academic’s views on gangs would be any more (or less) useful than those of the first 50 random people in the phone book
- Listening to the Maori Party leader on RNZ now what a relief it is that these apologists for terror and evil aren’t going to be part of the next NZ govt.
- The incoming govt could hardly have asked for a better endorsement than this line.
- When an MP, supported by a full party organisational structure, pays no legal price for failing to declare $178k of donations, it is yet another worrying sign about the loss of standards of integrity in our political system and govt life.
- Another day and no cyclists today either. Half of million dollars thrown away by WCCUpdate on our $0.5M bike rack we can see from the Council. Once again, I am sad to report, no cyclists are using it. Instead, one cyclist chose to lock their bike to a nearby pole. Meanwhile outside council offices the pole in ground bike rack ($6,000) was full🤷♂️

- Somewhat surprised this isn’t a bigger story……even in latter day NZ where no public officials ever pay a personal price for inexcusable actions & decisions. Even now, the CE is still trying to minimise, suggesting there was only a “perceived” conflict.
- Sometimes I’m almost tempted to wonder if people like this are some sort of false flag operation to help out the govt….but no, this is a school principal in NZ in 2025
- In 48 years of following politics I’ve never been so pleased to see a govt defeated (multiple reasons) but……. I feel not even the slightest enthusiasm or positive feeling about the (apparent) incoming government.
