No @markjenk I'm not. Payroll have been instructed to stop all allowances following my election to parliament. I assume this is what you did with your council allowance when you were elected in 2019.

- Out on the #LabourDoorstep this morning speaking with residents in Braithwaite about the challenges for our rural villages. Great to get a photo outside my old infant/primary school. @labourdoorstep_ @rurallabouruk @PenandSolLabour
- Joseph Ghayouba is my friend and one of Cumberland Labour’s hardest working councillors. He deserves to be included on the longlist with me.The Copeland CLP Executive Committee have resigned with immediate effect. We leave our posts with 10 out of 12 Copeland seats on the Cumberland Council, a revitalised, member-led CLP, and healthy funds to fight the next election.
- MPs will be prevented from taking on second jobs that fail to meet a new test of putting constituents first, under government plans to “turn the page” on an era of sleaze and scandal

- @mtpennycook shadow housing minister, said: “Not only does this long overdue piece of legislation not ensure that new flats will be sold as freehold… it doesn’t even do what it says on the tin and ban the sale of new leasehold houses.” 🤦♂️
- A major blow for those wanting to limit holiday let numbers. In tourism hotspots like the Lake District no-fault-evictions are regularly used to remove tenants and create holiday lets. Many hoped new rules would make this much harder. Who does this government actually serve?Exclusive: Liz Truss is shelving Michael Gove's plans to end no-fault evictions, which were due to be introduced in this Parliamentary session The Times has been told that they are not considered a priority & could be killed off entirely, despite being a manifesto commitment
- I support the right to strike. Those that wish to diminish this historic right attack the democratic principles we should all be proud of.The UK's anti strikes legislation has been described as some of the most draconian in EUROPE. The Anti-Strikes Bill must be scrapped. - TUC Assistant General Secretary @kategobell
00:00 - Today we remember the six million Jewish people murdered in the Holocaust, and those in genocides since. Hearing the powerful stories of Holocaust and Srebrenica survivors is as humbling as it is heartbreaking. They serve as an important reminder of the fragility of freedom.
