On my last trauma 24 hour shift of residency and on this Memorial Day weekend I want everyone to do something fun like stay inside and read a book!! Don’t ride an ATV. No mopeds. No ladders. No guns. No driving. Just read! It’s fun!!!

If you ever tell yourself “self, tomorrow is going to be a light day so I can get a lot of administrative stuff done” it will indeed not be a light day nor will you get any administrative tasks done

I called my mom while I was eating lunch. “You’re at work today?” “Yes” “Do you work tomorrow?” “Yes” “So that means you will work 7 days this week???” I am in my 5th year of surgical training and this still blows my mom’s mind 😂😂 bless it

Had an opportunity to partner with @BehindTheKnife to record a podcast on LCBDE (out today!) with supplemental video tutorial series that can be found here: behindtheknife.org/video-playlist… We’ve worked hard on this content! Let us know what you think! #LCBDE #MedEd #surgery #CBDstones

🧵A few months before I started med school I went to Argentina on a school trip. I got HUS presumably from some bad meat and got really sick (dialysis, plasmapheresis, seizures etc..). I was discharged from the hospital after a month on Feb 19th (today!).

In college we wore bright orange “GAME DAY” tshirts to alert everyone when we were playing that night. I’ve worn that same shirt during every standardized test since first year of med school. Just another game day. Here’s to #absite and hoping the #gameday gods bless you

The best thing about a day off is what I call “slow coffee”. The ability to drink coffee slowly with a book. No place to be. No to-go mug. Just slow coffee
