- COVID-19 continues to impact the Canadian economy. As such, Marine Atlantic is rolling back the 2021 rate increase to help enable a strong return for the economy. Customers who have or will travel after April 1, 2021, will receive a refund for the cost difference.
- On October 14, 1942, the SS Caribou was en route from North Sydney to Port aux Basques when it was torpedoed by a German U-boat. Of the 237 people who were on the vessel, 137 were unable to be rescued. Lest We Forget.
