Slán leat, Granny. We had a #COVID19 wake & funeral for her today. Surreal & cold. Limiting contact with others when grieving is hard, but the right thing to do. Thanks for the consoling messages & acts of kindness. She would have been 92 on Fri. We were lucky to have her 💚

Going to bed with a heavy heart. Tá Gaeilge agam. I’m an Irish speaker. It enriches my view of the world every day, it’s all around us in the geography, history and literature of this place. I speak Gaeilge because it’s beautiful & not to cause insult. Why can’t we just get along?

Life changed forever yesterday when we welcomed our beautiful little girl, Neansaí Máire into the world. Gavin & I are over the moon, as are our families & friends. Thanks to the incredible staff of The Royal Maternity for their care & attention to detail for Neansaí Mhíle Grá 💖

Another young woman violently murdered in the north. In her own home. Chilling. NI continues to be the most dangerous place in Europe to be a woman. The misogyny in society here knows no bounds. It is a deeply entrenched attitude. But sssh be a ‘good girl’ and say nothing …

Dear Belfast.. a city I love. I have just arrived home at 0220, having left tonight’s venue at 0115 approx. I tried to get a taxi… for hours before I left my venue…hoped we could flag one down. We didn’t. What if I was on my own?

Yesterday, I let the enormity of this current madness in, and it overwhelmed me. So today, I went for my first run in 11 months. 7 mins out, 7 back- a small victory - not posting this for praise, posting for others who also need a kick into action🤟 #níneartgocurlechéile

I’ve just attended camogie training for the first time in my life. Kicking the ass of my inner insecure teenage self felt great. (Laughing inwardly at what the talented family members might think of this)It’s never too late. Thanks to The Mary Ann McCracken camógs! #NorthBelfast

A lot of moaning on here this eve because of ‘too many northern’ guests on #LateLateShow recently - perhaps the shock/outrage emanates from there being v few northerners on the show over past few decades? 🤷🏻‍♀️

My wee granny died this morning. We’re organising her wake. So far I have been to 10 shops searching for hand sanitiser.... no success. Plenty of soap available. Looks like we might have to have a basin of water, towels and soap at the front door.

I dyed my hair brown for the last time a week before my wedding in February. I trusted my brilliant hairdresser and decided to go grey. This short reel shows some of the process. It wasn’t easy, it’s not for everyone, but for now, it’s for me. #goinggrey #silversisterhood
