“Launch angle” isn’t a style of hitting. It’s a parameter of a batted ball outcome.

I'm so excited for this new opportunity with @UIBaseball. Everyone in my life has been supportive, kind and helpful as my family makes this transition, including everyone at UNI and at the University of Iowa. Let's get to work!

I’m really proud of how our guys fought this year. Especially the last few weeks. The outsider has no idea how much work we put in and how competitive it is. Every game is a dog fight. Congrats to everyone who made it in. It’s a huge achievement. I’m heartbroken for our seniors.
Iowa's NCAA Resume - Won 20 of 26, 23 of 32 & 30-of-42 games - Won 6 str. series and 8 of 9 overall - 20 wins against Big Ten foes, 3 BTT wins - Hasn't lost back-to-back games since April 9-10 - One of best pitching staffs in the nation - Wins over TTU, USAFA, CMU, RU #Hawkeyes

We know how special our team is this year. It’s heartbreaking that we won’t get to watch them play out the season.

Abbie, it seems like yesterday that we dropped you off at Augustana your freshman year. I wish I could be there today on Senior Day but I know you’re in capable hands. I’m so proud of you. Enjoy every second of today. ❤️

The best moment of the night 🤩 @Lunderton of @UIBaseball drove three hours to see his daughter, @Abigayle26, in Florida 👨‍👧☺️ #CarryTheChip | #BuildingChampions

We use a lot of technology and we collect a lot of data. None of it matters without a group of humans who are able to organize, visualize and analyze the data. Nobody is better than the @UIBASEManagers. There’s a reason why 5 MLB orgs have hired our people in the last two years.

This Fall, I asked our pitchers to predict their workload everyday after throwing. After comparing the predicted to the actual workload, you can see that their average error reduced over time. I'm convinced that tracking workload helps them become more intuitive throwers.

Brett was offered the Air Force ROTC Commander scholarship today! He accepted and will be attending the University of Iowa, studying Engineering in the Fall. So proud.
