- Random Sunday thoughts about the continued and ridiculous assault on public education….
- Random tweet - I’m a big supporter of OPS. They educate 21% of this state’s public school children. Let that sink in. Our STATE needs a strong Omaha Public Schools. They have many talented and dedicated staff members that I admire. It’s ok to support them and root for them. #ops
- We are going to get out in front of this, play it safe, and go ahead and call a snow day for this Friday. #WeAreWestside
- I did NOT have anything to do with the Gretna/NSAA situation. Westside did NOT turn them in. Some posts are saying my name was used as a complainant in the hearing & that is completely false. Gretna beat us. We’ve had plenty of other things to worry about as since then.
- We are living in a hostile world right now. Just remember the loudest boos come from the cheapest seats. People that know the least about you often have the most to say about you. Keep your circle tight and focus on the challenges ahead with poise, pride, and professionalism.
- Just some thoughts while doing a little yard work….might upset a few folks…just trying to push back on the continued attack of teachers and lies about public education in Nebraska….
- Yo! Meet my grandson, Lucas Carter Borcher. He was born early this morning (1/3/21) weighing 8lbs 1oz, and is 21.5 inches long. He and his parents are doing well! We are SO proud and can’t wait to hold him. BOOM!
- Due to the forecast for Friday, we are having a SNOW DAY. A decision about school activities scheduled for tomorrow will be made and communicated in the morning. NO SCHOOL tomorrow. #WeAreWestside
00:00 - Not everybody does ⬇️⬇️⬇️....but I do and always will. I look forward to trying to protect/make them better in Nebraska! Say NO to LB-364. State dollars should NOT be used for non-public schools that don’t shoulder the same accountability we do and that don’t serve ALL kids.
- Last thoughts for the night on winter weather....have a great evening!
- Hampton Public Schools lost a great young educator last night in a car accident. He was a teacher and coach and had a bright future. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Hampton Hawk staff, students, and community. Hug your loved ones extra tight. 🙏🙏
