(UPDATE 3:00 PM): 6 patients w/ non-life threatening injuries transported via ambulance to area hospitals. The building has been deemed structurally sound. Continue to avoid the area as crews continue scene eval. & cleanup. @LoudounSheriff will be conducting crash investigation.

Captain Wilson passed away on August 31, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. He proudly served the Loudoun community for over 25 years. We are committed to honoring his memory & will never forget his sacrifice. Thank you to all who gathered to remember Captain Wilson.

This past Saturday, Captain Dannie Wilson’s name was added to the Line of Duty Death memorial located on the Oliver Robert Dubé Fire & Rescue Training Academy campus, which serves as a reminder to never forget those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our community.

(UPDATE June 8): Three adults & one child were displaced. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Damages are estimated at $65,000. The #LCFR Fire Marshal’s Office investigation concluded the cause of the fire remains undetermined at this time.

INCIDENT ALERT: Units are on scene of a house fire in the 21000 blk of Monmouth Ter. in Ashburn. Crews arrived to find a townhome w/ smoke visible from the rear & a fire on the rear deck. Fire is out. No reported civilian or firefighter injuries. Fire investigators are on scene.

(FINAL 2:45PM): The leak has been contained. The gas company will remain on scene completing repairs. Fire and rescue crews are working with the affected businesses to return and will then clear the area. The roadways are expected to reopen shortly after.

…Several businesses have been evacuated, and additional businesses in the area have been impacted. There have been no reported injuries at this time. Continue to take alternative travel routes and follow the direction of law enforcement on scene.

Traffic Advisory – Sheetz and Exxon on Edwards Ferry Rd NE The Leesburg Police Department is currently on scene assisting Loudoun County Fire and Rescue with traffic control due to a gas leak in the area of Sheetz (915 Edwards Ferry Rd NE) & Exxon (984 Edwards Ferry Rd NE).
