POWER IS BACK - We had a large outage today caused by a loss of power supply from Hydro One, which affected approximately 65,000 customers. Power was back to the majority of customers within 20 minutes and everyone within an hour. We are working with Hydro One to identify and

Power has been restored to most customers. There are some areas where damage was particularly severe that are still without electricity. We would like to thank our customers for their patience while crews continue to work nonstop to manage the damage and restore electricity.

This is the tree down in Byron, laying on and weighing down the wires. Our crew has put in a switching order which ensures power is shut down from the source so they can work safely on removing the tree. We always consider safety first, so our employees don’t get hurt and can go

In Byron, a tree is on a high-voltage wire. When this happens, our crews check that all power is cut, making sure they are working in a safe environment. We're hoping that if we can remove the tree, it can help get a lot of customers' power back on.
