- Parents of High School aged athletes: if your son is old enough to drive a car, he is old enough to be the one communicating with the coach. They need to learn this skill and take responsibility. Parents: funnel your questions through the player.
- Itβs truly mind blowing the difference between High School baseball and college baseball. And the unfortunate reality is those in HS generally have no idea.
- I 100% do NOT care what your exit velo is if you donβt get on base. I 100% do NOT care what your pitch velocity is if you donβt throw strikes and keep the other team from scoring. Have a great night.
- To toss a Head Coach in the College World Seriesβ¦the reason better be absolutely warranted or the umpire should be removed from ever calling a game again.
- Assuming I take a college coaching position in the future, I truly will not care about your exit velo, launch angle, etc. I WILL care about your desire to win, your passion for being a great teammate, and of course your ability to produce game winning results.
- If you are a 2027 gradβ¦relax. You are good. You will end up exactly where you are supposed to be playing college baseball. You arenβt missing out on anything and you arenβt behind. Life is good, you are blessed and ignore the rest π.
- Baseball players: you have a choice in todayβs game: #1. Be a showcase player. #2. Be a baseball player. A baseball player PLAYS the game. They simply LOVE PLAYING BASEBALL. Anyone that tells you to refrain from PLAYING baseball games has a motive. Be a #2 and not a #1.
- When I hear a player isnβt playing fall baseball, I genuinely question how much he enjoys playing baseball. And I canβt help but question whoβs giving him that advice. If you want to get better at playing baseball, play baseball. A few exceptions: football, arm injury issues,
- HS baseball players: Iβm for you. I want the best for you. Even if I donβt know you. Listen: the amount of talent that exists would blow your mind. Thereβs no room for inflated egos in this game. All classifications of college baseball are legit in todayβs game......
- For any kid or coach that thinks bunting is a waste of time...take what the game gives you!!!!!!!!!!!Bryce Harper drops a bunt. Bring the bunt back.
00:00 - Hitters: exit velo is fun and certainly serves as an indicator, but itβs NOT more important than being on time to hit, swinging at strikes/pitch selection, and hitting barrels consistently.
