A great few days in London and my first time visiting the Broad St. pump! I guess I’m a true epidemiologist now.

- News is spreading and it is International Women's Day so seems appropriate to announce that as of July 1 I will be Chair of the Biostatistics Department @jhubiostat @JohnsHopkinsSPH! Will miss my role in the Dean's Office but excited for this next adventure!

- To protect our mental health during the #COVID19 pandemic: • Develop a routine • Limit news consumption • Keep in touch with friends • Eat healthy & exercise • Seek support from friends, family, health care providers #AskReuters instagram.com/p/CBk9V5uDxlT/…
- I am more and more convinced we need to dramatically increase access + affordability of at-home rapid antigen #covid19 tests. We are a long way from that, though; in my experience many people don't even know such tests exist.
- Agree -- using national data at 2 time periods we found that in school settings teacher + student masking lowered COVID risk, and multiple mitigation strategies were key. Somehow that data seems to get forgotten. science.org/doi/10.1126/sc… scienceopen.com/document?vid=6…
- Holy cow this was amazing. Everyone should have an hour when other people talk about how wonderful they are; I could say amazing things about all of the people who joined today (friends, family, and work colleagues) and hope to have that opportunity. I am so lucky.Congratulations to Dr. Liz Stuart for her installation as a Bloomberg Professor of American Health! @Lizstuartdc
- Wow this is a pretty compelling comparative interrupted time series graph. Don't usually see such a stark effect.
- Anecdotally (and w/very personal experience) cases are up in DC; why isn't @_DCHealth reporting case counts? If decisions are left up to individuals re masking, etc., then make sure we can see the data!
- It is an incredible honor to be able to work towards generation and communication of evidence related to @AmericanHealth, and to work at an institution that recognizes the need for expertise in and resources towards that. Looking forward to where this will take me and my work!ANNOUNCEMENT: @LizStuartDC, a national expert in biostatistics and policy evaluation, has been appointed as a Bloomberg Professor of @AmericanHealth at @JohnsHopkinsSPH. jhsph.edu/news/news-rele…

- Is anyone in the US talking about/planning easier access to rapid and widely available COVID tests? Was struck in conversation w/a friend from Germany about how accessible testing is there, e.g., such that before any gathering everyone just gets a rapid test.
