Last week Minister Lorna Slater signed some kind of private finance deal, the details of which are unclear. Watch as she attempts to explain. Then marvel that she has no idea what interest rate the bridging loan she refers to is subject to.
It’s the height of SNP hypocrisy to take chauffeur-driven cars to an environmental summit. Even with a dedicated shuttle bus and ample public transport for Cop26, SNP ministers still took ministerial limos whilst preaching about reducing emissions
Men's Sheds funding is being axed (tinyurl.com/4657x3zv). My intervention asked the Cab Sec whether the £75k spend on them is a better use of resource than £1.5m per year for 25 civil servants to work on an "independence prospectus". His "answer" is pathetic and shameful
Tonight, my @ScotTories colleagues and I voted against the introduction of the SNP's vaccine passports.
There are many reasons I voted against, including watching SNP googling to find a definition of a “nightclub” mid-debate. SNP-Green #coalitionofchaos forced it thru regardless
Jason Leitch tells #BBCGMS the First Minister was without a mask for a "matter of seconds."
He adds: "She realises the place is crowded, puts a face covering on, which is actually what we're asking people to do."
Utterly incredible: I asked about a ScotGov promise of 28k offshore wind jobs, of which 3k were delivered & what they’re doing about it… Woeful Minister Slater reads a script about an “Offshore Skills Passport”.
A Minister on top of her brief, introducing Regulations covering a system of fines for failure to comply with DRS, would know where those fines were going. Wouldn't she?! Apparently not.
Quite the response from this SNP MSP - apparently the £20million carved out for indyref2 (whilst SNP cut ~8% from local govt, police, prisons, universities & rural affairs) "would not make much of an impact on the police or on local government or on a number of other issues".
I have a letter from First Minister in which he misleads me & Parliament in writing. The evidence supports that analysis. When challenged he does not deny it. Instead reverts to whataboutery & deflection. Clearly thinks Ministerial Code doesn't apply. Scotland deserves better.
Lorna Slater today fled the chamber to avoid listening to Liam Kerr’s point of order, which cited irrefutable evidence that either Slater has misled the Scottish Parliament, or Michael Matheson has misled Westminster’s Scottish Affairs Committee. (Video part 1/3)
Spot on @RuthDavidsonMSP “1000s of teenagers, away from home for 1st time...can’t leave their room...some cases, they have to wear a face mask to go to the loo... can’t go home...can’t go out...can’t break their expensive rental agreements...a bloody mess” reaction.life/sturgeon-locki…
