- One of my favourite things about Lewis Pullman’s casting as Bob is that he just doesn’t really look superheroic and when he is made to look more conventionally heroic, he doesn’t look comfortable at all and also has an uncanny valley vibe as well because of that.
- I like how Robert Kirkman points how how Spider-Man being a regular member of the Avengers doesn’t fit him at all.
- The idea that there’s parts of the planet of the apes where humans and apes are just coexisting and supporting each other is such an interesting idea that deserves to be explored way more than it has been in the franchise so far.
- Jonathan Hickman’s Amazing Fantasy 1000 is probably my favourite comic story revolving around the Spider-Verse since it’s probably the first time that the conceit has been used to say something meaningful about Peter Parker instead of just being showcasing-
- What makes Miles great as Spider-Man is that compared to Peter, he’s a bit more down to earth and is very much connected to his community which means that we get to see him doing the small things that are insignificant in the grand scheme of things but go a long way to helping-
- These two panels perfectly show how important Clark is to Bruce. If any of his kids died, Bruce would be in a berserker rage but if he ever lost Clark, a piece of him would just die and shrivel away.
- I think it’s cool that Tony’s psychic avatar is the Mark 1 armour
- Moroccan Jews are one of the oldest Jewish sub groups. The majority of them are now Israeli and/or French because they were ethnically cleansed as collective punishment for Israel’s actions. I am genuinely asking this: What do you want Jews to do that isn’t just “die” or-I just took my sons - abroad - for a Moroccan dinner in a Moroccan restaurant bedecked in Moroccan flags designed in Moroccan style serving Moroccan food. Playing Moroccan music. Later - too late - my investigative eldest son revealed that it was in fact an Israeli restaurant.
- I really appreciate how Chip Zdarsky acknowledges how powerful Soidey is and depicts him accordingly. Peter is one of the most powerful heroes in the Marvel Universe in terms of raw strength and agility. It should take absolutely everything that someone with no physical powers-
