Tonight, we made history together.
There’s no place in the world like Miami-Dade. I’m honored to be the next Mayor of such a vibrant and special place.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Now, let’s get to work!
To the small business owners struggling to keep their doors open
To the families unable to make ends meet
To the frontline workers who put their lives at risk for us
To all the women with a dream of shattering our highest glass ceiling, we did it.
This victory belongs to you.
WE DID IT! I am humbled & honored to have earned the trust of our residents to serve another four years as your Mayor. Together, we achieved a decisive victory, proving that when we unite for progress, we are unstoppable. Let’s celebrate tonight—tomorrow, we continue the work.
Slavery didn’t benefit the enslaved—period. And here in Miami-Dade, we don’t rewrite history. African Americans fought to overcome slavery & segregation, & are still fighting racism to this day. We must condemn disinformation, ensuring the next generation learns from our past.
.@TheAmandaGorman, your poem inspired our youth to become active participants in their government and to help shape the future. We want you to come to Miami-Dade to do a reading of your poem. If you’re in, we will coordinate.
My opponent continues to use the word radical. But let’s be clear: I spent a lifetime leveling the playing field, helping people achieve the American Dream. There is nothing radical about that. There is nothing radical about providing necessary services to our people.
It’s an honor to welcome @DouglasEmhoff and to join @DWStweets and local Rabbis to discuss how we lead through our faith & unite in the teachings of helping our fellow neighbors, especially during these tough times. Together, we will get through this & come out stronger.
Behind my mask, I’m smiling because I know our better days are still ahead of us. Together, we will restore integrity, decency, and accountability to local government as we lift up all of our communities.
I'm ready to be a Mayor for everyone.
Thousands of voters came together from all across Miami-Dade to call for unity and change, not division and more of the same! I’m proud to ride with the @SouthFlaAFLCIO in this fight for the soul of our nation — this is what democracy looks like!
Let’s be clear: Women deserve to have control of our bodies, period.
Today, I was proud to stand with women, girls and advocates from across our community to assert our fundamental right to choose.
