- I missed this earlier, but in his remarks to military spouses today, Trump claimed that this year's military pay raise was the first in 10 years. That's wrong. The military has gotten a raise every year since the start of the all-volunteer military.
- Congress approves decisions of who lies in state at the Capitol. Unclear what part of McCain's funeral celebrations had to be approved by the White House, if any. Possibly transport of his body from Arizona via military aircraft?Trump says that he gave John McCain "the funeral that he wanted. I didn't have to, I had to approve that." Says that he doesn't want to talk about McCain but "the press" keeps badgering him into it.
