    This week marked a very special moment when we said goodbye to 16-year-old Bronwyn after 219 days spent as an inpatient! 👏👏👏 Bronwyn was given a guard of honour as she left Ward L52 for the last time after spending Christmas, New Year, Easter AND her 16th birthday with us!

    Today we were delighted to welcome our patron Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Edinburgh when she visited Neurosciences Ward L52. The Duchess saw a demonstration of Virtual Reality Distraction Therapy with Play Specialists and spoke to staff, patients and families.

    What a treat for Hannah Shore, Consultant Neonatologist and Julieann Rodgers, Lead ANP for our Neonatal Service. They recently attended a garden party at Buckingham Palace. Leeds Children’s Hospital received invitations from our royal patron, the Duchess of Edinburgh.

    @NHSMillion This is our son Roux. Roux was diagnosed with a brain tumour at just 4 weeks old. 11 months on and 8 brain surgeries later he is still fighting. He’s currently recovering from his 8th surgery @Leeds_Childrens . The NHS is truly remarkable. Thank you.
