The OPS board voted tonight to keep two library books, 'All Boys Aren't Blue' & 'Tricks', in age-appropriate schools after multiple community members challenged them. The district's review committee said the books "help students feel seen, heard & valued."

Last year, 1,400 teachers left their Omaha jobs. The year before that: 900. While this year is lower, more resignations might be received after deadline. “We just have very traumatized kids that we’re unprepared to help,” one elementary teacher said.
