Yesterday evening I was attacked by a white woman who was upset I was wearing no bra. I utilized IG live to record her actions against me. I have never experienced a white mob chasing me and it’s the scariest thing that’s ever happened to me in my life. Please be safe out there

It felt like that 100%, I am astounded the man who punched my driver side window hasn’t been charged @OttawaPolice

First of all, I want to say how overwhelmed and grateful I am to have received the love, support and kindness from strangers around the world. As an Indigenous woman, I embody the messages of survivorship through autonomy and sovereignty over my body everyday.

I will continue to advocate and speak up about body autonomy, self-love and to honour the ways in which we choose to present ourselves to the world. No one can ever take away my spirit, my pride and my strength and I thank you all for taking part in this process with me #lovewins

They did…she was charged but not arrested. They confined me to the parking lot when I tried to escape and she vandalized my car when she rode into it w/ her bike

I want ppl to understand that violence towards Indigenous women has been silenced for decades and now that we have the resources (phone, car, money, education) to protect ourselves it’s now being amplified. My mother could never tell her horrific stories bc she had nothing.

I am trying to go on as normal to maintain a calm mental state. That means continuing my walks, practicing my culture and simply being. Some1 donated to PayPal.me/misselle33 for me to get a car wash :) thank you so much I got it washed last night #thankful

Again, I’m thankful to have had Ottawa to be a haven during times I desperately needed that change my life for the better - but once I became strong and resilient - it was as if this city failed the very creation I worked so hard for.

Yes he did and he said he “wasn’t trying to scare me” but his body language looked like he was a puppy w his head down when I was filming

Right?!? Truly haunting that we have to feel unsafe on our own lands each and everyday

My Mom was so cool. Yesterday was the 4th day since her passing. In my culture the number 4 is sacred. These are the Northern lights outside of Thunder Bay where she lived and died. First time I’ve ever seen red in the lights. Mom passed onto the Spirit world after her 4 days 💫

Chi-miigwetch (a huge thank you) to @TizzyEnt for sharing my story 🥹 I’m actually crying 😭 knowing there truly are good people out there. This event has changed my life but I still believe in the power of love for humanity ♥️♥️♥️♥️
Let's show her there are a lot more good people than bad.

I had a really rough upbringing growing up in the ghetto of Thunder Bay, Ontario. This city is riddled with violence, corruption and a hauntedness you can feel as you walk the streets. I come from a line of strong, yet humble ppl who loved me the best they can with what they had.
