🧵My best friend (Black woman) & I were pregnant at the same time 18 yrs ago. We both had preeclampsia, hers undiagnosed as her symptoms were written off. I was put on bed rest & hospitalized. She was told to relax. A week after she gave birth, the day my son was born, she died.

I trained as a gymnast under Larry Nassar. I know what a pedophile and a groomer are. It’s not a teacher with an “All Are Welcome” sign. It’s not a librarian who has award winning books on their shelves. Love your kids. Thank a teacher. Donate to a library. Cut the shit.

It took the Uvalde police 7 seconds to have a grieving father, who’s demanding change, in handcuffs for saying “fuck.” It took them 77 minutes to enter a classroom where 9 children were shot and dying, including Brett’s son. Shameful.

Yeah, I was arrested today for saying “fuck” in a county commissioner’s meeting. Took about 3 hours before they could actually find something to charge me with. Finally charged me with Disrupting a meeting or procession. It’s kind of funny that everyone wants to throw around

Imagine being more afraid that your child is going to receive gender affirming surgery while at school, but not remotely afraid that they could get shot at school. A large portion of this country does not live in reality.

4/5 She asked if I would be that person. Of course without thinking twice, I said yes. Her 1st appointment was this morning. I was in no way prepared for how heavy this weight would feel, feeling like I failed her mother and terrified of failing her.

2/5 Still to this day, I blame myself. We talked multiple times a day. We were experiencing the same symptoms. How did I miss this? I’ve stayed very close with her husband & daughter from that pregnancy. A few weeks ago her daughter came over to tell me that she’s pregnant.

3/5 After we finished hugging and crying, she began talking about her fears involving everything her mom went through. She told me she cannot go to her OB appointments without another woman in the room with her, someone to help advocate for her if her symptoms are downplayed.

This is not normal behavior. This woman harassed and assaulted my friends because she was triggered by their campaign signs and banners. I look forward to charges being pressed.
