    So last week my 16 year old Maltese fell off the loft — 15 feet or so onto the hard floor. He’s been in that loft for 15+ years with no issue and I feel guilty as hell for not boarding up the baluster slats then. I was eating lunch and heard it — thought it was Doug rolling off

    Anyone else sing to their fur babies? Hear me out: studies have shown plants like music so why shouldn’t animals? I’m certain all 5 dogs love being serenaded. And each has their own specific song. So there.

    Your agent should handle the business side of your career so you can write. If there’s a problem with a publisher or editor it’s the AGENT’S job to handle it. Our job is to make it easier (and more successful!) for you to write. Just my $.02.

    If you don’t think horror is “literary” or “intellectual” you may have a problem with your reading because all modern novels trace roots back to the Gothic also called Romanticism. Why “romance?” Because they evoked emotions. If you want to judge a genre, go study, buddy.
