The Bill is a historic chance to rebuild Britain – revive local economies, unleash clean energy, end the housing crisis.
Changes to it should be in service of those goals.
Government must prioritise the needs of the British people, not pressure groups looking for carve outs.
🚨PLANNING EMERGENCY🚨
We’ve heard from officials that Govt is set to give in to intense lobbying from well-funded green groups – including ALL FOUR of Wildlife Country Link’s priorities
This is a DISASTER
They must ignore the Vegetable Lobby and LET BRITAIN BUILD🧵
To be exact it’s the Labour Growth Group who want to come on and talk to Gary!
We’ve reached out to Gary’s team because we’re the radical movement in Labour for rising living standards.
We want to debate and share ideas with everyone also trying to end economic decline.
That Green "delivery" in full:
❌ Blocking new homes
❌ Opposing infrastructure
❌ Fighting clean energy
❌ Resisting new transport links
❌ Shutting down progress
The only thing the Greens ‘deliver’ is delay. Britain needs builders — not blockers.
'Greens have got a record of delivery'
On #BBCBreakfast Green Party co-leader Adrian Ramsey was questioned about their record in local government ahead of the local elections in England in 2025

£125m. For a tunnel. For bats. That probably doesn't work.
The system has created insanity like this while the British people's priorities - lower bills, higher wages, thriving towns and the next generation - have been ignored.
We're putting an end to that. Never again.
The movement to end decline is growing - and we welcome the energy and ideas that @lfg_uk is bringing to it.
We're tearing down the barriers and ensuring Britain's best days are ahead. Lets finally grow 🚀
The current system has failed the British people. That must end now.
If we can’t build in Britain we won’t be able to defend Britain properly. It is time to take back control of the rules and build for victory. 1/2
326,000 people — 161,000 of them children — are struggling in temporary accommodation tonight.
This Bill is fixing the broken system that fails them and fails nature too.
LGG stands against these wrecking-ball amendments, and for getting Britain BUILDING.
The Planning & Infrastructure Bill gives a green light to kill nature
It will destroy wildlife and push species closer to extinction.
The Government promised a win-win for nature and growth. It’s not too late to keep that promise.
I urge Ministers to back my proposals.
Britain stands at a revolutionary moment.
For too long politics has failed those it was meant to serve.
A year ago we came together to change that. Today we set out a bold vision to rebuild the economy and restore the democratic contract with the British people. 1/
We wrote to @CMAgovUK calling for a 'rapid pro-growth review' - and we welcome their response. They now have the chance to provide an example for others.
LGG represents those who need total system change, and brings the political will to deliver it.
We've been clear this Bill could go much further to reversing Britain's economic and natural decline.
These amendments don’t change the Bill’s underlying ‘win‑win’ approach. We’ve put forward a set of practical further changes to ensure we can build what the country needs. 1/3
Everyone listening today should be in no doubt that the Labour Growth Group will ensure the Chancellor has the backing she needs to deliver this ambitious vision.
This movement on the Labour backbenches is determined to return prosperity to Britain.
Growth is our national mission, to get more money in people's pockets. We're going further and faster to get Britain building, unlocking critical national infrastructure projects and stopping the blockers who have stifled growth for too long. x.com/i/broadcasts/1…
Bold and decisive action by the PM.
The taskforce should now rapidly sharpen regulation to unleash both SMR and Gigawatt nuclear power - including recognising designs from countries such as France & South Korea where nuclear is built safely, quickly and cost effectively.
For too long, the blockers and Nimbys have strangled our chances of cheaper energy, growth and jobs, leaving us hostage to Putin.
I'm putting an end to it.
We are changing the rules on nuclear to deliver cleaner, more affordable energy across the UK.
It’s been unsustainable for blockers to so easily be able to halt progress in an endless mire of legal challenges.
Previous governments knew this, but didn’t have the guts to fix it. This one’s different and we’re backing them tirelessly as they do that.
Growth is our national mission, to get more money in people's pockets. We're going further and faster to get Britain building, unlocking critical national infrastructure projects and stopping the blockers who have stifled growth for too long.
