Congratulations to our alumnus Jon Ossoff (MSc (Econ) Politics of the World Economy, 2013), who yesterday won the US senate race in Georgia.
This is a huge achievement, and something all of our current students can take inspiration from.
The IR Department is deeply concerned and worried about the detention of LSE Visiting Fellow Dr Gubad Ibadoghlu. We are working with LSE leadership to support Gubad and his family with advice from FCDO in Baku.
We're looking forward to our upcoming event on Monday 26 October, "Racism, Imperialism and Decolonization in International Relations". This will see a panel of scholars discuss questions related to racialised politics and to IR as an academic discipline.

Life/work update: I taught my last class @yalenus today. In the new academic year, I will join @LSEIRDept, where I will continue as assistant professor. Moving from a small startup to a major IR department is both exciting and intimidating. I am looking forward to the challenge!
