    The League are sad to report our former Treasurer and Referees Secretary, Ben Bennett has passed away. We send our love and deepest condolences to Ben's wife Linda and to Ben's family. We ask all our teams to observe a minute's silence this Sunday to honour his memory.

    All our members clubs have been sent a league email regarding referee abuse. Sadly another 2 referees lost due to abuse, coming from clubs who moan about having no referee. When they get one, they abuse the ref! When will it stop???

    The League utterly condemns the vicious assault on one of our Referees' today which led him to require hospital treatment. Police are involved and we will leave this with them today to deal with. The League has spoken to the referee and wish him a full recovery.

    Can I remind all clubs and their players personal abuse of league officers who spend a lot of their spare time running a league for them is totally unacceptable.

    The league is determined to crack down on poor behaviour, ill discipline, lack of respect towards opponents, referees and league officers. So we have taken action. These decisions will be unpopular to some but for the majority this is the right decision

    After several warnings issued last week to some clubs, this weekend gone saw a much better week in terms of player behaviour/misconduct towards referees. We also welcome the support from many of our clubs towards our stance in dealing with this proactively.

    So the first of our 10 finals is complete. And what an advert for Sunday league football. @ecs_xi winning 3-2 against a very good @cheam_athletic team. 3 goals in the last 10 mins - terrific stuff from both teams. And what a crowd - over 350 in attendance.

    Planning for the new season started months ago Next season - We will have 11 divisions for around 120 teams 12 new teams accepted. Some teams have left for new leagues, some have folded and some have been told today they are not invited back for next season.
