Disappointing outcome at #COP29. We missed a chance to shield our most vulnerable from the climate crisis & heal our planet. Strong concerns remain over the adopted climate finance goal. Thanks to all who stood with us. We fight on! #ClimateJustice #COP29 #ClimateFinance

The 46 most vulnerable LDCs came to Glasgow with high hopes and expectations, but in this final hour at #COP26, we still keep hearing some push back on ambition required to fill 2030 gap in line with 1.5C, reservations on support for #LossAndDamage

We cannot accept latest GST text. Need way forward that ensures we meet 1.5C-scaled up climate finance esp. for adaptation & phasing out fossil fuels with differentiation. This text doesn’t set clear pathway for either. GST meant to ratchet ambition, where is the ambition? #COP28

Saleem was a valued colleague & a visionary leader, whose contributions led to the establishment of the LDC Group. We hope you can join us in honouring his remarkable legacy at this memorial event on Thursday at #COP28 in the LDC Group Pavilion (B7, 76) ldc-climate.org/cop28-ldc-grou…

Delegates have arrived in Sharm El-Sheikh for LDC prep meeting ahead of #COP27. 30 yrs and 26 COPs later, we have a much clearer understanding of the scale of the climate crisis, what is needed to deal with impacts & the urgency for reducing GHG emissions. Time for implementation

I was so glad that young negotiators made contributions in our LDC Group prep meeting to strengthen our positions at #COP26. The increased involvement of young negotiators in our group is something I have wished for since the beginning of my chairmanship so very pleased to see it

Vulnerable countries must have a seat at the table. These issues are critical to ensuring the environmental integrity of the #ParisAgreement #COP25
Some major developed countries & large developing nations just met to discuss Article 6, primarily Markets & the carrying over of Kyoto Protocol Units into the new Paris Agreement mechanism. This is central to environmental integrity! Why were vulnerable nations excluded? #COP25

We have temporarily walked out but remain interested in the talks until we get a fair deal. #COP 29 Interview with Jiwoh Emmanuel Abdulahi @JiwohA - Minister of Environment and Climate Change Sierra Leone x.com/i/broadcasts/1…

#ClimateChange is getting worse & emissions continue to rise. We're not asking for much–just that richer countries, who have caused this problem, take responsibility by cutting emissions and keeping their promise to help those their emissions have harmed.

The $100bn/yr by 2020 #ClimateFinance commitment hasn’t been met but we appreciate the efforts of the @COP26 Presidency to ensure that developed countries provide $500bn over 5 years up to 2025. This should be provided as grants and balanced between mitigation & adaptation #COP26
📢 NEWS: The #COP26 Presidency has released the $100bn Delivery Plan, led by 🇩🇪 🇨🇦 The plan, endorsed by developed countries, states how and when they will deliver on the goal to mobilise $100bn per year in climate finance. Read the plan: 👉 ukcop26.org/wp-content/upl…

In a time when #LDCs need support more than ever, #ODAfunding cuts take us in the wrong direction. With global problems of #COVID & #climatechange, we need more solidarity - not less. As @COP26 President, we call on the UK to lead, not retreat @hmtreasury @FCDOGovUK
