Our thoughts are with the family of former #LAPD officer, and TV star, Ken Osmond. He was best known for his roleย as Eddie Haskell onย Leave It to Beaver, but Osmond was also a #LAPD Officer for 18 years. Thanks for both serving and entertaining us. #KenOsmond #EddiHaskell #hero

Vice Officers recognized the picture used on a fake ID, to be that of the President of the Philippines. Good thing our Officers patrol Historic Filipino Town and are up to speed. Nice try ๐Ÿ˜‚๐ŸฅŠ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ ๐Ÿ’ฏ@LAPDALopez @LabradaAl @LAPDHQ @TFALpodcast

Yesterday, Officers Gomez and Garcia were patrolling the area of an elementary school when they saw a drug deal. Officers Gomez and Garcia quickly detained the suspect and recovered half a pound of fentanyl. Countless lives likely were saved because of this arrest. Great job!

Meet Officer Zuniga. Today is her first day in the field. Prior to becoming an LAPD officer, Officer Zuniga was an LAPD cadet, earned her associates degree from the LAPDโ€™s Police Orientation Preparation Program (POPP) and served in the United States Army. Help us welcome her.

Yesterday Officer Espinoza got to work a patrol shift with his daughter, Officer Taylor, who just completed her probation at Hollenbeck Division. Fun Fact- Officer Espinoza also did his probation at Hollenbeck back in 2005. Help us wish them well.

Take a look at all the equipment LAPD officers are required to carry on their duty belt. Can anyone guess how much it all weighs?

How it started vs how itโ€™s going. Officer Casasola in Mac Arthur Park in 1985, and Officer Casasola in the same spot 37 years later serving the neighborhood he was raised in.

Join us in congratulating Sergeant Preston on his retirement after 29 years of service. Today is his last day on the job and he spent it as Rampartโ€™s Watch Commander. Sarge, your Rampart family wishes you a long and healthy retirement with your family and friends.

Officer Yoder wearing the uniform that made us famous. Fun Fact- Until 1966 LAPD officers were required to wear long sleeves and a tie at all times, which is called a Class A uniform. Now we are authorized a Class C (Short sleeves) while on patrol. Doesnโ€™t he looks sharp?

Anthonyโ€™s father Rick is an LAPD officer who did his field probation at Rampart. Anthony, you and your family are in our prayers. #prayersforAJ
@GeorgeLucasILM My son Anthony is currently battling brain cancer for the 3rd time and Star Wars is something that has leaned on to get through the fight. We know you are a very busy man but my son would love to be able to meet you! instagram.com/prayers_for_aj

Probably one of most divisive questions in policing, 1, 2 , or 3. Which one you choosing?

How much time do you have on? is a question an LAPD officer will be asked countless times throughout their career. 25 years at any job is admirable, but 25 years as on this job- now that is something to be proud of. So tell us, how much time do you have on and where do you work?
