- Rampart would like to congratulate Officer Diaz on making the SWAT team. Offer Diaz served at Rampart as a FTO before successfully trying out for SWAT a few months ago. Congratulations from your Rampart family Officer Diaz.
- Yesterday, Officers Gomez and Garcia were patrolling the area of an elementary school when they saw a drug deal. Officers Gomez and Garcia quickly detained the suspect and recovered half a pound of fentanyl. Countless lives likely were saved because of this arrest. Great job!
- Meet Officer Zuniga. Today is her first day in the field. Prior to becoming an LAPD officer, Officer Zuniga was an LAPD cadet, earned her associates degree from the LAPD’s Police Orientation Preparation Program (POPP) and served in the United States Army. Help us welcome her.
- Yesterday Officer Espinoza got to work a patrol shift with his daughter, Officer Taylor, who just completed her probation at Hollenbeck Division. Fun Fact- Officer Espinoza also did his probation at Hollenbeck back in 2005. Help us wish them well.

- How it started vs how it’s going. Officer Casasola in Mac Arthur Park in 1985, and Officer Casasola in the same spot 37 years later serving the neighborhood he was raised in.
- Join us in congratulating Sergeant Preston on his retirement after 29 years of service. Today is his last day on the job and he spent it as Rampart’s Watch Commander. Sarge, your Rampart family wishes you a long and healthy retirement with your family and friends.
- Officer Yoder wearing the uniform that made us famous. Fun Fact- Until 1966 LAPD officers were required to wear long sleeves and a tie at all times, which is called a Class A uniform. Now we are authorized a Class C (Short sleeves) while on patrol. Doesn’t he looks sharp?
- Anthony’s father Rick is an LAPD officer who did his field probation at Rampart.
